"Kol Soteh" - Was a magazine that came out over a period of about 10 years. It can be considered the "rebel magazine" of the times. What pushed it into being was a feeling of disatisfaction with the official kibbutz magazine. In Kol Soteh people could express anything they wanted without fear of censorship. Amazingly enough there was hardly, if any, misuse of this freedom (wouldn't that be saying something about censorship in general?) The best interpretation of "Kol Soteh" is probably "All perverts" The initiators were Dani Namali and Moshe Ben-Chaim, pre-hysteric models of insanity :-) They were not alone! It was fruitcake times!! Seemed like the 2nd generation all fell out of nut trees! But the highlight of this magazine was during the 1982 war with Lebanon. It allowed a full blast of pent up war time emotions to be released |
